How to increase page speed of genesis framework

As we all know,the page loading speed is one of the factor which decides the google search engine ranking of websites.Website with a good loading speed will have more chance to get on top of search engines and more visitors.In this post,i will explain how we can improve the page speed performance of Wordpress blogs using genesis framework by using some Wordpress plugins.
You can check your website page speed insights by going to https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ .Any score above 85 out of 100 is good and scores below will lead your website or blog to be placed lower in search results even though you have a good quality content.

I am using genesis framework in one of my blog with twenty eleven child theme.My blog's page speed insights score was 55 out of 100 before.Now i have increased speed score to 89.If you are a google Adsense publisher,then you will get a score card of your website in your publisher page.Before i implemented following steps my score for site health was 3 out of 5 due to low page speed and now it is 5 out 5.

STEPS TO INCREASE GOOGLE PAGE SPEED INSIGHTS SCORE OF GENESIS

You need to install some plugins to increase the page speed in genesis and i will list them below and explain their needs.

Plugin 1:- W3 TOTAL CACHE
This is most important plugin which created a significant increase in my page speed insight score.If you are not familiar using W3 Total cache and its settings,then this article will help you http://www.inspire2rise.com/w3-total-cache-settings.html.
W3 Total cache will create page cache and increase page speed loading.

Plugin 2:-BJ LAZY LOAD
This is another plugin which increase page speed.This will load images only when the visitor scroll to the image.When the page loads,this plugin will replace all the images with a placeholder and will load the images only when the visitor scrolls to the image position.It helps the content to load fast and saves bandwidth.

Plugin 3:-WPSOCIALITE
When i checked the speed before installing these plugins,the main reason for my blog's high page loading time was social plugin scripts which block the content.So i searched google for a good social sharing plugin which loads fast and i came with answer WPsocialite plugin.Its working is similar to BJ Lazy Load.It settings can be changed such that it load only when the user scrolls towards it or hover mouse over it.So it wont take time for loading when not needed.

Plugin 4:-USE GOOGLE LIBRARIES
This plugins load Javascript of your plugins and themes from google ajax library instead of your server and there will be a chance that the visitor will already have these scripts cached which decreases page speed

Plugin 5:-JAVASCRIPT TO FOOTER
 This plugin will move all the java script to footer .This will make the content load faster and will decrease the loading time of the page.

Use CDN to increase page speed

The above plugins helped me to increase page speed score from 55 to 77.But it was not enough as my target was above 85.I understood that the reason was lack of CDN network.I searched for some free CDN services and come up with cloudflare gives free CDN service.So i signed up for free account and installed cloudflare plugin to activate my CDN and checked page speed insights again and got a score 89 out 100.
